The Taiwanese delegation for the Nagoya Asian Games announced its official roster today, with the esports title 'League of Legends' being spearheaded by two overseas-based stars, HongQ and JunJia. Head coach WarHorse stated in an interview with Central News Agency that he is highly excited to coach both players and looks forward to the unique chemistry they may bring.

At the previous Hangzhou Asian Games, Taiwan's League of Legends team secured a silver medal. For Nagoya, the roster has undergone a major overhaul, retaining only the bot laner Doggo (Chiu Tzu-chuan), while the rest of the lineup has been refreshed. The new team features top laner 1Jiang (Chen Wei-chin), jungler JunJia (Yu Chun-chia), mid laner HongQ (Tsai Ming-hung), alongside support players Woody (Lin Yu-en) and ShiauC (Liu Chia-hao).

WarHorse (Chen Ju-chih), who has led the team for two consecutive Asian Games, shared in the interview that he is already very familiar with Doggo, JunJia, and HongQ. He also praised 1Jiang as a capable player, expressing confidence in the team's overall performance.

However, WarHorse noted a concern regarding the inconsistent performances of support players this season. As a result, both Woody and ShiauC were selected to allow the coaching staff to evaluate which player pairs better with Doggo in terms of in-game synergy and communication.

Although WarHorse has not previously coached HongQ or JunJia directly, he smiled and said he is 'very excited' to work with them. He particularly praised HongQ, who at just 19 years old consistently delivers high-level gameplay: 'I watch every one of his matches. He’s definitely improved from last year.' He added, 'But I think he needs to learn to stay calm and composed—no matter how great a player is, they can’t win championships forever.'

With China opting not to participate in the League of Legends event, Taiwan has a strong chance to reach the podium for the second consecutive Asian Games. WarHorse revealed that training camp is expected to begin in mid-September. 'The preparation time is short, and the tournament uses a single-elimination format,' he said. 'Regardless of our opponents, I hope we can perform at our best and showcase our true strength.'
