(CNA reporter He Xiu-Ling, Taipei, September 14) RT-Mart announced it will cease operations at the RT-Costco Zhonghe hypermarket on September 30. PX Mart, the retail operator holding the RT-Costco brand, told CNA today that to continuously optimize operational efficiency and management, it will directly take over operations of the Zhonghe store starting October 1.

PX Mart stated the store will continue normal operations under the hypermarket format. Member benefits, product supply, and all services will remain unaffected. Going forward, the company will continue to provide improved product offerings and shopping experiences based on local market needs.

Regarding employee career transitions, PX Mart will cooperate with RT-Mart on follow-up job-matching efforts. It will prioritize assisting employees who wish to remain, providing job openings at RT-Costco, PX Mart, and related companies based on their preferences, expertise, and career plans, and arranging interviews to ensure smooth transitions and protect employment rights.

Additionally, RT-Xin plans to cease operations at the RT-Costco Zhonglun store by mid-September. PX Mart stated that after evaluating relevant conditions, it has decided not to take over operations of the Zhonglun store. However, PX Mart welcomes outstanding retail talent and encourages interested individuals to join its team.

Market analysts suggest that with PX Mart operating the Zhonghe store, procurement resources can be shared, aiding workforce deployment and career development. (Editor: Pan Yi-Jing) 1150714
