Over 16 seasons in the CPBL, he has dedicated his youth to writing an inspiring baseball story.
The two-game series between the Lions and the Rakuten Monkeys will be held at the Taitung Baseball Stadium, making it a historic occasion as Chen plays in Taitung for the first time in his CPBL career.

Chen's return during his retirement year symbolizes his desire to give back the experiences and emotions he has accumulated throughout his journey to his hometown.
Lions team director Su Tai-An stated, 'Baseball is more than just a sport—it is a vital bridge connecting land, culture, and generations.' The team has specially arranged for Chen to return to Taitung, supporting him in completing a significant milestone in his retirement journey.
