(Taipei, July 14 - Reporter He Xiu-Ling) The expansion of AI applications continues to drive demand in the semiconductor, electronics distribution, computer, and peripheral equipment sectors. According to revenue statistics released by the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and the GreTai Securities Market (GTSM), listed companies recorded NT$5.2477 trillion in June revenue, a 47.16% year-on-year increase. OTC companies reported NT$351.9 billion, up 38% year-on-year, with both sectors maintaining robust growth.

The TWSE announced today that among the 1,046 listed companies (excluding financial, insurance, and SanShang Investment Holding), total June revenue reached NT$5.2477 trillion, up 47.16% year-on-year. Of these, 735 companies reported revenue growth, while 311 saw declines.

Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year reached NT$27.8581 trillion, up 32.1% year-on-year. Revenue increased for 670 companies and declined for 376.

The TWSE noted that the most significant June revenue growth occurred in electronics distribution (driven by AI applications and next-generation memory demand), semiconductor (AI chip demand), and computer and peripherals (AI server demand). No industry reported revenue decline in June.

For the first half of the year, electronics distribution and computer peripherals benefited from AI-related demand, while construction materials and building sectors saw growth due to revenue recognition from project deliveries. Industries with notable revenue declines included sports and leisure (due to weak market demand) and cement (due to competition from low-cost imports and slowing demand in China).

The GTSM reported that 891 OTC companies (including 30 KY companies) generated NT$351.9 billion in June revenue, up 38% year-on-year. Among them, 621 companies saw revenue growth, 267 declined, and 3 remained flat.

Cumulative OTC revenue for the first half reached NT$1.8537 trillion, up 25% year-on-year. Revenue increased for 609 companies, declined for 281, and remained unchanged for one.

The GTSM stated that June's revenue growth was primarily driven by semiconductor, computer and peripherals, and electronics distribution sectors, fueled by rising memory demand and prices due to AI applications. Revenue declined in construction, plastics, and optoelectronics, due to project delivery timing, customer inventory adjustments, and weakened end-market demand.

For the first half, OTC revenue growth was led by semiconductor, computer and peripherals, and other electronics sectors, with the latter benefiting from AI server cooling demand, semiconductor fab construction, and rising precious metal prices.

Declining sectors included construction, sports and leisure, and textiles, with construction affected by delivery schedules, and sports, leisure, and textiles impacted by global instability and customer procurement timing.
