Severe weather, including heavy rainfall and strong winds, has recently triggered floods and geological disasters in Guangxi, Hubei, Gansu, and other regions of mainland China, resulting in significant casualties and economic losses.

Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of China's State Council, stated at a regular press briefing on the 15th that all Taiwanese residents in the affected areas are safe. However, some Taiwanese-funded enterprises in Guangxi have suffered varying degrees of economic damage.

Zhu emphasized that the Taiwan Affairs Office is working closely with Guangxi authorities to assist affected Taiwanese businesses, helping them overcome difficulties and resume production as quickly as possible.

She also expressed condolences to Taiwanese affected by Typhoon Bavi, expressing sincere hopes for their swift return to normal life and production activities.
