(CNA, Amsterdam, 15th -综合 foreign media report) US technology industry media The Information, citing four anonymous sources, reported that Dutch semiconductor equipment maker ASML plans to raise prices for chip manufacturing equipment, and TSMC has refused to accept the increase.
Bloomberg News, citing The Information, reported that ASML has recently discussed with TSMC the possibility of increasing prices for its extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems.
In addition, ASML has informed some customers in recent weeks, including Chinese chip manufacturers, of its plan to raise prices for its deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography systems by 10%.
According to the report, TSMC has refused to accept ASML's plans to raise prices for both types of equipment.
