Changhua is advised to prepare for extreme high temperatures reaching up to 38°C. As of 1 PM, the highest temperature was recorded in Changhua City at 37.5°C.
The Central Weather Administration updated its high-temperature advisory this afternoon, citing subsidence effects from southwest winds causing hot and sweltering weather. Taitung County is advised to watch for foehn winds.
Today, Changhua County remains under an orange alert, indicating a risk of extreme temperatures reaching 38°C. Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Tainan City, and Hualien County are also under orange alerts, with warnings of consecutive days of temperatures reaching 36°C or higher.
Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Taitung County are under yellow alerts, urging vigilance against temperatures exceeding 36°C.
