(CNA reporter Yeh Chen, Taoyuan, July 16) A six-vehicle rear-end collision occurred this morning at 7:17 a.m. on National Highway No. 3 southbound at km 74.4 in Longtan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The inner lane was temporarily occupied, causing traffic congestion extending approximately 5 kilometers. The accident resulted in three injuries, with two individuals hospitalized and one refusing medical transport. The exact cause of the incident remains under investigation by authorities.

According to the Taoyuan City Government Fire Bureau, three people were injured: two were transported to hospitals, and one refused transport. The injured include a 20-year-old male surnamed Hu, conscious but complaining of chest pain, and a 48-year-old male surnamed Tsai, conscious with a head laceration.
