The performance was supported by steady store expansion of 7-ELEVEN in Taiwan, with a total of 8,389 service locations including stores and smart vending machines. In response to summer travel, heatwave cooling, typhoon preparedness, and the FIFA World Cup, the company continued to focus on differentiated offerings in fresh food, coffee, and tea beverages, launched innovative products, hosted themed events, and deepened its membership ecosystem, all contributing to strong operational performance.
Among its invested businesses, 7-ELEVEN Philippines, Cosmos, Uni-President Precision, and Starbucks delivered strong results, effectively boosting revenue growth.
Uni-President Superstores’ cumulative revenue for the first seven months reached NT$212.903 billion, up 5.55% year-on-year.
Looking ahead to August, Uni-President Superstores said Taiwan’s 7-ELEVEN will capitalize on summer vacation demand, as well as Father’s Day, Qixi Festival, Ghost Festival (Zhongyuan), and the back-to-school season. It plans to launch cross-category themed campaigns, integrate nationwide store networks with members’ lifestyles, and leverage its digital service platform to provide seamless online-to-offline product and service experiences, further driving operations.
FamilyMart, preparing for the peak summer season, reported July revenue of NT$10.17 billion, up 4.9% year-on-year and a record high for a single month. Growth was driven by store expansion, capturing heat-driven consumer demand, Mid-Year Ghost Festival offerings, cross-category fresh food collaborations, and the introduction of new trending products from Japan’s FamilyMart.
In terms of store count, as of July 31, FamilyMart operated 4,513 stores, up 131 from 4,382 a year earlier.
FamilyMart’s cumulative revenue for the first seven months reached NT$67.16 billion, up 7.6% year-on-year, also a record high. The company said it launched multiple new products targeting summer ice drink demand, leveraging local cuisine and cross-industry beverage collaborations, which drove a 60% surge in smoothie drink sales.
For fresh food, FamilyMart said new appetite-stimulating summer drinks and dessert launches boosted performance. In general merchandise, themed ‘Fu boxes’ featuring celebrity images were launched to meet Ghost Festival demand, with early corporate offerings driving over 10% growth in sales of biscuits, instant foods, and canned goods.
Looking ahead to August, FamilyMart noted that high temperatures and festival-related demand will continue to support sales growth. Pre-orders for Qixi, Zhongyuan, and Mid-Autumn Festival will emerge, and new cross-industry collaborative products and marketing promotions are expected to serve as key revenue drivers.
