The 2026 Asia-Pacific Sustainability Expo is being held from today through the 29th at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1.
EVA Air released a press statement today, stating that this year marks its third participation under the theme 'Five-Star Commitment, Advancing Sustainability Together.' The exhibition focuses on net-zero transition, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), eco-friendly in-flight services, and social welfare initiatives. Interactive experiences are incorporated to convey aviation decarbonization and sustainability knowledge to the public in an accessible and engaging manner.
EVA Air highlighted several energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures at its booth, including the continued expansion of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, plans to introduce next-generation fuel-efficient aircraft such as the Airbus A350-1000 and A321neo, and the use of big data to optimize flight routes and Foam Wash engine cleaning technology to improve fuel efficiency. Two interactive games—'Foam Wash Engine Cleaning Mission' and 'Sustainable Flight Decoded'—are also featured at the exhibition.
China Airlines, participating for the first time, stated that its theme is 'Sustainable China Airlines, Embarking on Net-Zero.' The airline shared its journey of collaborating with various partners to promote sustainable and inclusive progress.
China Airlines emphasized that through interactive displays and five dedicated lectures, it aims to help the public better understand the aviation industry's sustainability transformation. Initiatives include sustainable aviation fuel, carbon reduction measures on the ground and in the air, onboard resource recycling, and environmental conservation efforts. The airline is uniting forces with suppliers, corporate clients, government agencies, research institutions, and local conservation groups to expand the implementation of its ESG vision through concrete actions. It also invites travelers to join in the net-zero journey and co-create a sustainable aviation ecosystem. (Edited by Kuan Chung-Wei)
