TSMC Drops 55 NTD, Taiwan Stocks Fall 327 Points to Lose 37,000-Point Mark

(Central News Agency Reporter Chiang Ming-yen, Taipei, 17th) The Taiwan stock market opened slightly higher by 13.64 points today, hitting an intraday high of 37,145.66 points before pulling back. It closed down 327.68 points at 36,804.34, losing the 37,000-point mark. Following TSMC's earnings call, its stock price dropped by 55 NTD today, closing at 2,030 NTD.

As the second highest-priced stock, WinWay, reached the 10,000 NTD milestone for the first time, joining the highest-priced stock ASPEED to usher Taiwan stocks into a "dual 10k gold" era, ASPEED fell by 675 NTD today to close at 13,805 NTD, while WinWay rose by 485 NTD to close at 10,305 NTD.
