To serve victims of crime (known as Xin Sheng people), the Ministry of Justice and the Veterans Affairs Commission (VAC) established the Xin Sheng Protection Service Hub at the Cingjing Farm National Guest House today. This is not only the highest altitude protection hub in the country but also symbolizes a new model of government resource integration, hoping that nature can provide psychological healing.
The Association for Victims Protection, its Nantou branch, the Nantou District Prosecutors Office, and Cingjing Farm of the VAC jointly announced today the establishment of the protection hub at an altitude of 1700 meters in the 'clouds.' This marks the first cross-departmental cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the VAC for such a hub, symbolizing Cingjing Farm's commitment to accompanying victim families in welcoming a new future surrounded by mountains.
Cingjing Farm Manager Wang Jen-chu stated that Cingjing Farm is not just a tourism highlight but also a healing space with social responsibility. Through cross-departmental resource investment, it aims to light an unquenchable lamp for victim families. Nature is the best psychological therapy; while past regrets cannot be changed, they hope the fresh air and vast mountain views will accompany these families in regaining the courage to move forward.
The Nantou District Prosecutors Office stated that this 'cloud hub' breaks the cold impression of traditional legal consultation spaces, transforming it into a field of sincere accompaniment and psychological support. Through volunteer seminars and walks on the grass, victims can rediscover the beautiful connections of life. The hub provides one-stop support for legal consultation, life, and emotional needs, focusing on serving families in remote and high-mountain areas of Nantou.
