Taipei, May 21 (CNA) – The Directorate-General of Personnel Administration (DGPA) today announced the 2027 (Republic of China year 116) calendar for government agencies, featuring a total of 121 days off. This includes nine long weekends of three or more days, combining regular days off with holidays. These are for Republic of China Founding Day, the Lunar New Year holiday, Peace Memorial Day, Children's Day and Tomb Sweeping Day, Labor Day, National Day, Taiwan Retrocession Day & Kinmen Guningtou Victory Anniversary, and Constitution Day. The DGPA also noted that since Republic of China Founding Day on January 1, 2028 (Year 117), falls on a Saturday, a compensatory day off will be given on Friday, December 31, 2027 (Year 116).
