Central News Agency (Taipei, 22nd) Against the backdrop of stabilizing US-China relations, Chinese media reported that Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), stated today that the CCPIT is preparing to organize Chinese enterprises to visit the United States at an appropriate time to promote the deepening of practical cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
According to reports from Chinese media such as Jimu News, Liu stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office this morning that the US-China summit has attracted global attention. The two heads of state exchanged views on major issues concerning the two countries and the world, reaching a series of new consensuses. The two leaders agreed to build a 'constructive strategic stable relationship' as the new positioning for US-China relations, providing strategic guidance for the relationship.
He said, 'Whether in trade or investment, what companies care about most is stability, certainty, and predictability. Recently, several major US business leaders who accompanied President Trump on his visit to China have visited the CCPIT or contacted us. They all positively evaluated the new positioning of the two countries' relations and are optimistic about the future development of the Chinese economy and US-China business cooperation.'
The 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) will be held from June 22 to 26 at the China International Exhibition Center Shunyi Hall in Beijing.
Liu pointed out that the CISCE is an important platform for the US and Chinese business communities to carry out practical cooperation. From the first session to the fourth this year, the number of US exhibitors and institutions has consistently ranked at the top among foreign exhibitors at the CISCE. Many of the Fortune 500 US companies accompanying this visit are regular participants or old friends of the CISCE.
He also mentioned that government departments and chambers of commerce from various places in the US, such as Florida, New Mexico, and Utah, will organize delegations to visit China to view the exhibition, and institutions such as the US Soybean Export Council will also hold special promotional activities.
Liu said that the CCPIT will take the CISCE as an opportunity to implement the important consensus of the US-China summit through multiple measures, acting as a bridge for exchange and cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. Since the beginning of this year, under the US-China business cooperation matchmaking project, the two sides have successively held activities such as the US-China rail transit industry exchange meeting. In June, a general aviation theme exchange will also be launched in Chongqing, benefiting more small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries.
He also claimed that since the beginning of this year, CCPIT branches in Shaanxi, Shandong, Hunan, Beijing, Guizhou, and other places have successively organized delegations to visit the US for economic and trade exchanges, and many Chinese companies have expressed their willingness to visit the US to the CCPIT. The CCPIT is preparing to organize Chinese enterprises to visit the US at an appropriate time, based on the new positioning of US-China relations, to promote the deepening of practical cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
