Nantou County Government Holds Occupational Safety Experience Event for Students

According to the Central News Agency, as students often take part-time jobs or internships during summer vacation, the Nantou County Government held an occupational safety event on campus today. The event included situational judgment cards, recognition of protective equipment, high-altitude work safety observation, and equipment operation experience, allowing students to recognize potential risks in the workplace. To strengthen the concept of occupational safety and health, the Nantou County Government held the event at National Nantou High School today. Nantou County Deputy Magistrate Wang Ruei-de attended and stated that Nantou High School has a strong engineering background, and students often participate in internships, so he hopes they learn how to protect themselves in the workplace through education. Nantou High School Principal Liao Tsang-hsiang shared his experience, stating that occupational safety is crucial, and the first lesson for engineering students entering the factory is always safety and health. He also shared personal experiences regarding machine accidents to emphasize the importance of following safety regulations.
