Central News Agency, Taipei, May 22. The Taiwan Mobile Virtual Asset Exchange (TWEX) marked its first anniversary today. Taiwan Mobile shared that 50% of its users are aged 40 and above, and nearly 70% of transactions are micro-investments of 999 TWD or less per transaction. More than half of the users have never sold their Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) after purchasing, and nearly 10% of users voluntarily adopt regular investment strategies.
Taiwan Mobile stated that it has observed a break from the traditional impression that "virtual assets equal high-risk investment for young people." Statistics show that 50% of users are in the 40-and-above age group, demonstrating the results of popularization in a virtual asset market that was previously dominated by young users. Nearly 70% of transactions are micro-investments of 999 TWD or less, indicating that virtual assets have shifted from a high-threshold professional field to a stable asset allocation option for the general public.
Han Kun-ju, Vice President of Web3 Business at Taiwan Mobile and General Manager of Fu Sheng Digital, stated that TWEX has opened up the Web3 mass market. Data shows that more than half of the users have never sold their Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) after purchasing, and nearly 10% of users voluntarily adopt regular investment strategies, indicating that long-term holding and regular, phased investment have become the mainstream behavior for users participating in the virtual asset market.
Han stated that TWEX has further lowered the threshold. On the occasion of its anniversary, it launched a new regular fixed-amount investment function in conjunction with the crypto event "Bitcoin Pizza Day." Transactions can be made for as low as 100 TWD per transaction, with no limit on the type of currency, allowing more people to easily participate in the Web3 era.
