Lotus Flowers Bloom in Zhushan; Town Invites Visitors for Summer Slow Living

According to CNA, the lotus pond in front of Shengyi Temple in Zhushan, Nantou County, is currently in full bloom, with pink lotus flowers swaying in the breeze. Zhushan Mayor Chen Tung-mu stated that the lotus plantation covers nearly 6,000 square meters, creating a stunning contrast between green leaves and blooming flowers, especially beautiful in the early morning and evening. The Zhushan International Tea Ceremony Festival will be held from the 23rd to the 31st at the Zinan Temple parking lot, featuring around 50 vendors, including Shanlinxi high-mountain tea and high-mountain Oolong, as well as exchanges with tea masters from South Korea and Japan. Mayor Chen suggests a small trip to Zhushan: enjoying the lotus flowers during the day, tasting tea at the festival in the afternoon, and strolling through the streets at night. He also urges visitors to be careful and not to step into the flower beds or damage the plants.
