The Taipei City Police Department's Zhongzheng First Precinct announced today that a 'June 4 Commemoration and Support for Military Purchases' rally has been approved to be held on Ketagalan Boulevard, and traffic control will be implemented starting at 8 PM on the 23rd to allow the organizers to set up stages and other hardware. The Taipei City Police Department's Zhongzheng First Precinct issued a press release stating that the rally is approved for Ketagalan Boulevard from 8 PM on the 23rd to 10 PM on the 24th. The Zhongzheng First Precinct has planned traffic diversion and control measures for the rally, starting from 8 PM on the 23rd, closing the 8 lanes on the north side of Ketagalan Boulevard (excluding Zhongshan South Road and Park Road) to vehicle traffic, and only opening the 2 lanes on the south side for traffic from west to east. The police stated that the traffic control measures on the night of the 23rd are to provide the organizers with space to set up stages, tents, and other hardware for the rally on the 24th. It is expected that traffic will be reopened at 1 AM on the 25th after the event is dismantled, and the control may be advanced or delayed depending on traffic conditions. The police pointed out that during the rally, all bus routes passing through the controlled area will be diverted by the Taipei City Public Transportation Office in coordination with bus operators. Citizens who wish to check the diverted bus routes can contact the Public Transportation Office or check the official website. The Zhongzheng First Precinct stated that to maintain traffic order and safety during the event, it will flexibly control the roads around the rally site, expand the scope of traffic control according to the situation and number of people on site, and provide traffic reports via police radio at any time. Drivers are urged to listen to traffic reports and avoid the controlled road sections by taking detours in advance. The police remind drivers passing through the controlled area to be vigilant, drive carefully, follow the instructions of police officers and traffic assistants, and slow down to maintain traffic flow and safety.
