The Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) announced today that the unemployment rate for April was 3.3%, a decrease of 0.04 percentage points from the previous month, ending two consecutive months of increases. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.34%, down 0.01 percentage points. According to DGBAS statistics, the number of unemployed people in April was 397,000, a decrease of 5,000 from the previous month. Among them, those who quit due to dissatisfaction with their previous jobs decreased by 4,000, and those who lost jobs due to the end of seasonal or temporary work decreased by 2,000, while those who lost jobs due to business downsizing or closure increased by 1,000.
