The Chiayi Branch released a press statement today, noting that the market was held at the Chiayi Botanical Garden of the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute, attracting many families. Consumer support significantly boosts farmers' confidence in practicing eco-friendly farming, creating a sustainable cycle that benefits the environment, health, and the local economy. Chiayi Branch Director Li Ding-zhong stated that since 2018, the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency has been promoting the 'National Ecological Green Network,' guiding farmers to adopt eco-friendly production models. The Jianan Satoyama Market serves as a showcase for these community conservation achievements, allowing the public to protect precious species such as the Rhacophorus arvalis (a type of tree frog), mountain sparrows, and pangolins through green consumption.
