Central Broadcasting System (CBS) Chairwoman Lai Hsiu-ju led a delegation of seven to participate in the Lviv Media Forum (LMF) in Ukraine, marking a new chapter in Taiwan-Ukraine exchanges. Upon returning to Taiwan, Lai shared her experiences, focusing on issues such as information warfare, fake news, media resilience, and cognitive warfare from China. Lai mentioned that the trip was initially fraught with visa issues, but they eventually overcame them. During the forum, CBS and the LMF held a 'Taiwan Session,' demonstrating the close connection between Taiwanese and Ukrainian media in countering authoritarian expansion and disinformation. Lai shared her observations from Lviv, noting that when air raid sirens sounded, people would continue their daily lives. She recounted meeting a bride who was about to get married, stating, 'Maintaining daily life is their strongest form of resistance.' She emphasized that the people's will is the key to their strength.
