The accident occurred at the Liushenyu Coal Mine in Qinyuan County, Shanxi Province. According to survivors, the high number of casualties was primarily due to the inhalation of toxic gases following the explosion. Cho posted in simplified Chinese, expressing his hope for the smooth progress of rescue operations and the early recovery of the injured. He also stated that Taiwan is willing to provide relevant assistance if necessary and hopes for the successful restoration and reconstruction of the area, allowing residents to return to normal life as soon as possible.
