In December last year, a passenger booked on flight IT280 from Kaohsiung to Tokyo Narita mistakenly boarded flight IT284 to Osaka. Ground staff failed to detect the error during initial boarding checks, only discovering it later. The passenger was removed from the aircraft. The CAA stated that the airline violated aviation security regulations and imposed a fine of NT$150,000. Additionally, the CAA addressed an incident from August where a flight to Sapporo deviated from altitude instructions, issuing a warning and demanding stricter crew discipline. Tigerair Taiwan accepted the penalties and stated that safety remains their top priority.
