Traffic Accident at Songshan Airport Parking Entrance, Pedestrian Killed

Taipei City Fire Department received a report tonight of a traffic accident at the entrance of the Songshan Airport parking lot. According to preliminary investigations, a car failed to pay attention to the road ahead while turning and struck a man, approximately 40 years old. The man was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead. The exact cause of the accident is under investigation.

At 9:21 PM, the Taipei City Fire Department received a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian at the entrance of the parking lot inside Songshan Airport. Upon arrival, they found a man, approximately 40 years old, who had been struck. The man had no vital signs upon arrival at the hospital and was pronounced dead after emergency efforts failed.

Initial police investigations show the driver's alcohol test was zero, and no drugs were used. At the time of the incident, the driver was reportedly attempting to enter the parking lot at Songshan Airport and is suspected of failing to pay attention to the road ahead while turning, resulting in the collision with the pedestrian.
