US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated today that negotiations between Washington and Tehran are progressing, and there is a possibility that Iran may accept a deal to end the Middle East war in the coming days.

According to AFP, Rubio claimed that negotiations have made progress, but he did not rule out the possibility that President Trump might resume attacks on Iran.

Rubio told reporters in New Delhi, the capital of India, "There might be some news later today, or there might not be, but I hope there will be."

He added, "There has been some progress, and even as I speak to you, work is underway... whether it's later today, tomorrow, or in a few days, we might have some news to announce."

Rubio reiterated US demands: Iran must fully open the Strait of Hormuz and hand over its highly enriched uranium.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said today that talks between Iran and the US are currently focused on ending the war on all fronts, and at this stage, neither nuclear issues nor sanctions have been discussed.

He also mentioned, "We need to see what happens in the next 3 to 4 days," adding that after the memorandum of understanding is finalized, further consultations will be needed in subsequent stages.
