Lu Shiow-yen Campaigns for Wu Tsung-hsien in Yilan, Gifts 'Mazinger Z' Figure

Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen visited Yilan on the 23rd to campaign for KMT Yilan County magistrate candidate Wu Tsung-hsien. Lu praised Wu, a former prosecutor of 20 years, as a "tough guy" who has fought crime and protected the people. She gifted him a "Mazinger Z" figure, symbolizing justice, courage, and the spirit of protection. In response, DPP candidate Lin Kuo-chang noted that while Wu has invited high-profile figures like Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an and Lu to campaign for him, he himself relies on the support of local grassroots partners. Lin also criticized Wu's inconsistent stance on arms purchases, remarking that "a 'Transformer' figure would be more appropriate" for him. Wu responded by stating that Mazinger Z is his favorite character and serves as a reminder to stand up against injustice.
