High Temperature Alerts for 10 Counties and Cities; Tainan May Reach 38°C

The Central Weather Administration (CWA) updated its high-temperature alerts today, issuing warnings for 10 counties and cities, including Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Tainan, and Taitung. Tainan is under a red alert, with potential extreme temperatures of 38°C. Kaohsiung and Pingtung are under orange alerts, with potential highs of 36°C.

It is hot and sunny across the country today. The CWA issued the high-temperature alert at noon and warned that Taitung County may experience foehn winds.

The CWA stated that Tainan City is under a red alert during the day, with the possibility of continuous extreme temperatures of 38°C. Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County are under orange alerts, with the possibility of continuous temperatures of 36°C, requiring increased caution.

Additionally, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Changhua County, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, and Taitung County are under yellow alerts, requiring caution for temperatures above 36°C.
