Around noon on the 24th, an SUV driven by a 75-year-old man collided with a motorcycle while turning left on Provincial Highway 2 in Gongliao District, New Taipei City. The 52-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. No alcohol was detected in the SUV driver.
