Uni-President Group Chairman Lo Chih-hsien stated that after reaching the milestone of 600 stores, Cosmed will not stop its expansion, saying they are "preparing for the next 600 stores." As a local brand, Cosmed has surpassed Watsons in store count for the first time, but Lo remarked, "We haven't surpassed them; it's just that in the process, they are slightly behind." He added that they will continue to introduce trendy products to keep consumers surprised. Cosmed and Starbucks, both under the Uni-President Group, reached 600 stores in Taiwan simultaneously and opened the "Yuanxiu Store" in Nangang together with 7-ELEVEN. Lo and his wife, Kao Hsiu-ling, Chairwoman of Uni-President Department Store, attended the opening ceremony. Regarding future goals, Lo said, "The future is preparing for the next 600 stores," noting that with 5,000 coffee shops already in Taiwan, there is still a long way to go for retail layout. Regarding expansion plans, he said they will look at the needs of each area, whether for large or small stores, depending on finding suitable landlords. Kao noted that besides daily necessities and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals are a growing segment due to an aging society, and Cosmed will continue to introduce new products that meet trends and provide more freshness and experience.
