According to the Central News Agency, the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation established an investigation team to determine if former aides Hsiao Hsu-tsung and Wang Kuang-tzu violated financial discipline. The team announced today that after one month and three days of investigation, there is no concrete or objective evidence to prove that Hsiao or Wang misappropriated funds. Hsiao stated he is grateful to the board's investigation team for clearing his name. Wang also expressed gratitude and wished Ma Ying-jeou and his family well. Hsiao emphasized in a statement that he did not manage money at the foundation, a fact known to all staff, and that there was no possibility of breach of trust or embezzlement. He further criticized those using Ma's health issues for political infighting, stating that history will record these ugly faces.
