Huang Jie Elected DPP Kaohsiung Chapter Chair, Vows to Listen to Grassroots

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) local chapter elections have concluded, with legislator Huang Jie elected as the chairperson of the DPP Kaohsiung City Chapter with 26,381 votes. Huang stated that she will continue to listen to grassroots voices and work for the future development of the party. The Kaohsiung chapter reported that there are 44,118 party members in the city, and the transition of power will be completed within two weeks. Huang expressed her intention to build upon the foundations laid by her predecessors, emphasizing innovation through inheritance and progress through unity. Outgoing chairperson Huang Wen-yi noted that voter turnout exceeded 60%, reflecting active participation and the party's commitment to generational succession and reform. He expressed high expectations for the future of the Kaohsiung chapter under Huang Jie's leadership, believing that her influence will attract more young talent to invest in Kaohsiung and deepen their roots in Taiwan.
