The Taipei City Department of Education announced that in response to 'World Milk Day' on June 1st, it will increase nutritional subsidies for children aged 2 to 12 in Taipei from June 1st to 7th. Under the current 'Milk Weekly' policy, which has been in place since April 2025, eligible children can redeem one bottle of milk or soy milk per week, benefiting approximately 222,000 students. During this special week, the quota will be increased to two bottles. The department also plans to expand the policy to include junior high school students starting in September. Dairy products are rich in protein, calcium, and vitamins, which are essential for the bone and tooth development of growing children. Parents can check the 'Milk Weekly' website for details.
