Chen Jiang-shuang, playing for the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots in Taiwan's P. LEAGUE+ (PLG), was named the May MVP today after averaging 12.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists, helping the team secure four consecutive home wins. The Pilots finished the season with a 12-0 home record, the first in PLG history. Chen, in his first PLG season, played all 24 games. On May 3rd, he recorded his first triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists, and 6 steals, becoming the first non-foreign player this season to achieve this feat. He is the fourth non-foreign player in league history to record a triple-double and the youngest at 23 years, 6 months, and 6 days. With shooting percentages over 47% in May, he beat out teammates and opponents to win the monthly award.
