Taichung MRT is promoting a public art project, with the latest installation 'Flow' at HSR Taichung Station recently unveiled. Constructed with lightweight metal fibers, it floats between the arched ceilings of the concourse, aiming to transform a purely transit-oriented space into a cultural and artistic environment. Taichung MRT Corporation announced today that the artwork is located on the second-floor concourse of HSR Taichung Station, presented in a dual-component format at the east and west exits. The east side near the HSR exit symbolizes the soaring spirit at the start of a journey, while the west side near the TRA exit uses the imagery of a 'comma' to represent rhythm, pauses, and transitions. Created by artist Huang Yu-chih and curated by the Amus Art Team, the work uses stainless steel and copper wires to weave a rhythmic sense of breathing into the rigid architectural space. General Manager Chu Lai-shun stated that the company continues to expand the city's cultural dimensions through public art, hoping passengers feel the warmth and beauty of the installation.
