Central News Agency, Tehran, May 25. An official from the Iranian Ministry of Health stated today that the injuries sustained by Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei during the US-Israeli airstrike in late February were only 'superficial.' The 56-year-old leader has not appeared in public since his appointment on March 8, sparking speculation about his health. A health ministry spokesperson described his surgery on February 28, noting there were no major complications and he was discharged on March 1. The official emphasized that he remained in good health, even fasting during Ramadan. Recent reports indicate he has met with the President and military commanders, suggesting he is continuing his official duties.
