An altercation occurred between two passengers near an exit at Taipei Main Station yesterday. Citizens reported to the Railway Police Bureau that one individual appeared to be carrying a weapon. Officers arrived at the scene, where no injuries were reported, and apprehended a man surnamed Peng, seizing a 12-centimeter fruit knife. The man was arrested for public intimidation and sent to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office. According to social media reports, a young man and an older man were arguing at the ticket gate when the former brandished the knife. Police reviewed surveillance footage and deployed eight officers to apprehend the suspect.
