Tainan's Yujing District Sees 5th Consecutive Day Over 38°C; 13 Counties and Cities Warned of Heat

The Central Weather Administration (CWA) announced that Yujing District in Tainan has recorded temperatures above 38°C for five consecutive days, with a high of 39.7°C on the 22nd. Forecaster Lin Ding-yi stated that the Pacific High remains strong until the 27th, keeping weather hot across the island. Areas including Greater Taipei, Hualien-Taitung, and inland central-southern regions may see temperatures reach 37°C or higher. On the 28th, a front will approach, leading to unstable weather. By the 30th and 31st, a tropical system is expected to disrupt the front, potentially reducing rainfall. Residents in eastern coastal areas are advised to watch for long-period waves.
