Japan's Mitsui Fudosan announced that following TSMC's investment in Kumamoto, the region is becoming a hub for semiconductor research, testing, and manufacturing. Mitsui Fudosan has signed a basic agreement with Kumamoto Prefecture and Koshi City to develop the 31-hectare 'Kumamoto Science Park.' The company plans to hold investment seminars in Taiwan, targeting semiconductor supply chain firms. The park is located near major companies such as JASM, Tokyo Electron Kyushu (TKL), and Sony Semiconductor (SCK). Development began this May, with facilities to be completed in phases starting in 2027 and full completion by 2030. The company will visit Taiwan's three major science parks (Taichung, Tainan, and Hsinchu) to promote investment advantages and understand the needs of potential investors.
