Taiwan Stocks Hit Record High of 43,644 Points, Surging 1,376 Points

According to CNA, fueled by the AI frenzy and reduced geopolitical risks, AI-related stocks and the electronics sector surged across the board. The Taiwan stock market hit an intraday high of 43,645.78 points today, setting a new historical record. It closed at 43,644.40 points, marking a gain of 1,376.43 points (3.26%), the fifth-largest single-day gain in history. The total turnover reached NT$1.301 trillion. TSMC closed at NT$2,310, up 2.44%. MediaTek hit the daily limit at NT$4,245, while UMC and Compal also hit the daily limit, closing at NT$125 and NT$34.65, respectively.
