The Ministry of Health in Uganda confirmed today two new cases of Ebola, bringing the total number of cases in the country to seven since the outbreak began. According to AFP, the Ministry stated: "The two newly confirmed cases are Ugandan health workers at a private medical facility in Kampala; both have been admitted to a designated treatment unit and are receiving care." The Ministry is currently tracing contacts and urging the public to report any suspected symptoms immediately. Neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo declared an Ebola outbreak on the 15th, which is the center of the current crisis. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated yesterday that over 900 suspected cases have been identified in the DRC. Uganda has suspended all public transport to the DRC.
