Factory Fire in Tamsui, New Taipei City; 10 Units Engulfed

At 9:46 PM on May 25, a fire broke out at a row of corrugated iron factories in Tamsui District, New Taipei City. Initial reports indicate that 10 out of the 12 small factory units in the complex have been engulfed in flames. Fire authorities have dispatched 165 personnel and 79 vehicles to the scene. Due to the heavy smoke drifting from the fire, authorities have advised residents in Tamsui and Sanzhi districts to keep their windows closed and wear masks if they must go outside.
