On the evening of May 25, police in Xinzhuang, New Taipei City, spotted a vehicle driving erratically and attempted to pull it over. The driver refused to stop and fled, leading to a police pursuit that ended with the vehicle being intercepted. The 37-year-old driver, surnamed Tseng, was found to be wanted for seven cases involving fraud and drugs. Police discovered a methamphetamine pipe in the car, and the driver tested positive for methamphetamine. He has been referred to the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office on charges of drug use and public endangerment.
