Tong Zi-wei Runs for Basketball Association President, Proposes Reform Agenda

The Chinese Taipei Basketball Association will hold its election for president and board members on May 31 in Changhua County. Candidates include Keelung City Council Speaker Tong Zi-wei, International CSRC Investment Holdings Chairman Koo Kung-yi, and lawyer Chang Ching-yun. Tong held a networking event today and presented six core concepts: establishing a unified management mechanism, internationalizing grassroots efforts, institutionalizing coaching education, professionalizing the organization, promoting internationalization and resource integration, and developing women's basketball. Tong emphasized that his candidacy is not about personal gain but about opening doors for dialogue and transforming the association into an integrated platform for Taiwan's basketball, ultimately aiming to bring influence to every court.
