During a Taipei City Council session on May 25, Councilor Chien Shu-pei questioned the city's adherence to central government safety guidelines regarding escape room inspections, threatening to seek impeachment. In response, Deputy Spokesperson Wei Wen-hsuan stated that the city had conducted immediate inspections, ordered closures, and imposed heavy fines following the incident. She noted that Taipei was the first in the nation to establish specific safety guidelines for immersive experience industries. The city government argued that previous regulations lacked clear definitions for the risks of "solo operations," a gap now addressed by the new guidelines which prohibit unsupervised solo work.
