Lienchiang Prosecutors Office Launches Election Interference Task Force

The Fujian Lienchiang District Prosecutors Office held a launching ceremony for its 'Election Interference Investigation Task Force' on the morning of the 25th. The office will synchronize its efforts with prosecutors nationwide to monitor local public official elections. Chief Prosecutor Liu Jun-jie urged candidates not to gamble with the law. Accompanied by Chief Prosecutor Yang Yi-yun, Liu declared the office's determination to combat bribery and violent interference. Liu noted that the office had already held its first election analysis meeting on April 7 with the Matsu Investigation Station and the Lienchiang County Police Bureau, and convened a second meeting today to review the latest situation across the islands. Liu stated that the prosecution will closely monitor competitive districts and strengthen intelligence gathering. He warned candidates against using bribery or fraudulent household registration, promising that the investigation team will pursue all cases to the end.
