Thunder Tiger and ELAN Microelectronics Partner to Build Taiwan's Autonomous Drone AI Platform

Central News Agency, Taipei, May 25. Thunder Tiger Technology announced today that it has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with ELAN Microelectronics. Thunder Tiger will transition from a drone system integrator to a co-developer of key technologies, deepening its core position in the democratic supply chain. Thunder Tiger explained that it will co-develop AI guidance, image recognition, and communication core technologies with ELAN, integrating ELAN's AI chips, edge computing, image processing, and communication modules with Thunder Tiger's flight control and Blue UAS international certification capabilities. This partnership aims to build a self-reliant drone technology platform for Taiwan. Thunder Tiger will extend its technological moat into AI inference chips and GElanNet image recognition algorithms. The collaboration also responds to the Executive Yuan's 'Dual-Use' policy, allowing the technology to be used for commercial inspections during peacetime and defense systems during wartime. As the first Asian company to pass the US Blue UAS security certification, Thunder Tiger is actively pursuing opportunities in the US market.
