Falling tiles from Kaohsiung building injure motorcyclist; Public Works Bureau demands improvements

Tiles fell from a building near Wufu 1st Road and Jinmen Street in Kaohsiung on the 25th, injuring a motorcyclist. The Kaohsiung Public Works Bureau stated that it has ordered the building owner to make improvements within a specified period and will impose penalties if management responsibilities are not met. The Bureau has instructed the owner to immediately secure the dangerous area and conduct emergency repairs, and to perform safety inspections as necessary. They also urged management committees to regularly inspect building facades, especially for older structures.
