June TAIEX Futures Rise 1,422 Points

Central News Agency, Taipei, May 25. The Taipei stock market rose 1,376.43 points today, closing at 43,644.40 points. June TAIEX futures closed at 43,877 points, up 1,422 points, with a positive basis of 232.6 points compared to the spot market. The Taiwan Futures Exchange set the opening reference prices for the next two months at 42,455 points for June and 42,460 points for July. Total turnover was NT$1.301325 trillion. June futures saw 57,772 contracts traded, while July futures saw 375. Actual closing prices are subject to TAIFEX announcements.
