Tainan's Yujing Hits 39.2 Degrees; Taipei and Hualien Exceed 38 Degrees

The Central Weather Administration updated its high-temperature information this afternoon as hot weather persists across the country. As of 2:00 PM, Yujing District in Tainan City recorded the highest temperature at 39.2 degrees Celsius, followed closely by Nanhua District at 38.9 degrees. Taipei City and Hualien County have also seen temperatures exceeding 38 degrees. Foehn winds have occurred in Taitung County. With Neipu Township in Pingtung County also reaching 37.8 degrees, extreme heat is affecting the entire island, and caution is advised for outdoor activities.
