The New Taipei Metro Bureau announced on the 26th that the Sanying Line extension to Taoyuan Bade, which connects the Sanying Line with the Taoyuan Green Line, has passed the budget review by the Executive Yuan's Public Construction Commission. The bidding documents for the electrical and mechanical systems and the underground civil engineering section have completed public review, and bidding is expected to begin in June. Li Zheng-an, Director of the New Taipei Metro Bureau, expressed gratitude for the central government's approval and noted that a phased bidding approach is being used to manage risks and costs. The extension is approximately 4.03 kilometers long, features two elevated stations and one underground station, and is scheduled for completion in 2034. Once finished, it will connect with the Taipei MRT Bannan Line, Taoyuan Green Line, and Taiwan Railways, integrating the Bade, Sanxia, and Yingge areas into a unified living circle.
